Timesavers Concierge had a call this week from Keo Films, a TV Production company, asking if we could help them - they are looking for a household, who may have recently moved from the city to the countryside, to appear in a new series they are currently filming that might have a problem with pests and are happy to talk about it on TV!

Timesavers Concierge, the rural concierge business based in the hidden gem that is the Teme Valley, has been up and running for the past 2 months and today we hit the top spot in the Google listings! Type in Timesavers Concierge and there we are right at the top of the page! To be fair we have been working our way up through the listings over the weeks but it is a milestone indeed for a small business with big aspirations but also a testament to the power of networking. 

At this point we must give a big shout out to Stuart Allen, his vision and the team behind #WorcestershireHour; the weekly news and networking event for the Worcestershire area held on Twitter every Monday evening. We chose to launch Timesavers Concierge at the Worcestershire Hour Festival of Business at Stanbrook Abbey on 31st  May 2014 and since that day we have built our Twitter following, gained contacts, clients and most significantly we have started to build our professional profile. We know, through our website statistics, that viewings of our website spike after every #Worcestershirehour session on a Monday evening. We get involved, join the debate and exchange information. It’s a great medium for learning and sharing but it seems it is also doing our google profile the power of good too!

So what else have we been up to over the past couple of months? Well one of the most significant things we have done is to work on our pitch.  Maybe that sounds a little odd; surely you should have had your pitch sorted when you launched I hear you cry and yes…. we thought we had it nailed but it doesn’t always follow that a passionate belief in a concept will translate into a business proposition that will entice clients!

When we launched, the three partners were very clear that the primary aim was to be a genuine “timesaver”, to create a business dedicated to supporting individuals, SMEs, franchisees and sole traders in both their personal and their professional lives. Providing services which replicate the tasks that busy business owners would do themselves either in the domestic setting or at work if they had the time and /or the expertise.  So there it is, in a nutshell; “we become you” wherever, whenever and for however long you need us.  And it’s not just our team that thinks we could all do with a hand from time to time.  The attached article from Enterprise Nation invites business owners to think about their core strengths and suggests outsourcing the other components. Timesavers has had a very productive month getting organised with bits and pieces for the new business, following leads, networking with others, tweeting and looking into online listings for advertising; the latest can be found on the Lower Teme Community Magazine website.

We've had some ebay customers too - people who have stuff to sell but simply don't have the time to do it themselves. That's where our ebay service makes it easy for them to sell their unwanted items. Take a look out at how our ebay service works.

This week we will be listing some brand new XL mens tops from Fat Face, River Island and Next Last week it was nearly new baby clothes so who knows what next week will bring!

Its been a lovely sunny end to the month of June and lets hope it continues well into July. An early start on Saturday but so worth it -  Stanbrook Abbey completely took our breath away - what an absolutely amazing place this is - totally fell in love with it!!

Such a great venue for #WorcestershireHour to hold its inaugural Worcester Festival of Business and we were just so very pleased that this tied in with the launch of Timesavers Concierge.

Once we had set up our table of cup of tea and a bacon sandwich was very much in order and we even had time for a quick explore before the doors opened.

Harriet Baldwin, MP helped open the event and was very supportive visiting most of the businesses there on the day as was Steve Morris, MD of Morgan in Malvern and Robin Walker, MP. BBC Midlands Today were also there filming.

Networking was very much a big part of the day and we spoke to so many local businesses, some long established, others relatively new but all there like us to support one another and promote their unique and individual businesses. Everyone exchanged business cards and information, new links were formed, ideas shared and a great day was had by all!

We were so pleased that the concept of Timesavers was so well received and delighted that we have some very promising leads to follow up this week too!

The event was also open to the public with free entry and free parking - friends and family came along to support us - thanks guys - all in all a fantastic day.

The MC for the day was Tony Fisher who did an excellent job all round and we can't thank him enough for all the excellent plugs he gave Timesavers - thanks Tony!!

Phew, what a day - all three of us have been busy with different elements of the business, crossing the t's and dotting the i's - all those last minute things on our to do list are now complete and we are looking forward to a busy day tomorrow at the first ever Worcester Festival of Business at Stanbrook Abbey in Callow End.

We've had quite a few messages of support from family, friends and other businesses that we already have connections with - particular thanks to Karen @ Families Magazine in Worcestershire, Heather @ Crafty Ladies in Malvern, Paul @ Pinnacle Builders and Dawn @ Dawn Beauty in St Johns.

Even though tomorrow is officially our launch day we have already had several customers that we have been selling items for on Ebay - one has written us a testimonial which was lovely to read and we look forward to being her timesaver again in the very near future.

We've also had a couple of queries for work today, another Ebay client who has lost a lot of weight and has quite a few good quality clothes to sell so he can buy a new wardrobe of clothes that fit and a local business interested in Timesavers Concierge managing her social media accounts - all interesting stuff!

An early start in the morning so a last minute check of that we have everything we need and we look forward to seeing you at Stanbrook Abbey tomorrow between 10am and 4pm.

Ginny, Adrian and I were all little excited but a tad nervous too as our launch date of 31st May is fast approaching! Meeting at Ginnys house for a working lunch we ran through last minute details, checked and double checked different elements of the business and discussed what we needed for the launch of Timesavers Concierge at the stunning venue of  Stanbrook Abbey in just two days time! With the three of us, four children, two dogs and a puppy it was a very productive and enjoyable lunchtime - even the rain held off so the children and puppy could play outside too.

Following Worcestershire Hour on Twitter we had booked a table at the first ever Worcestershire Festival of Business - it promises be an absolutely  fantastic event with businesses from all over the county - a great opportunity to network with other Worcestershire businesses and meet potential clients.

There is just going to be so much to see on Saturday and with free parking, free entry and even a free shuttle bus from Worcester city centre out to Stanbrook Abbey - it is sure to be a crowd pleaser. We think the organisers have even booked the sunshine!

Make sure you pop over and say hello to us in the Tradespersons area and then take a look around the art and craft stalls, the local produce market, take a look at the very lovely Morgan cars. Got the kids with you then keep them enterained on the bouncy castle and with some face painting. There really is something for everyone - a real celebration of enterprise in Worcester and so much more!

Just a few more things to tick off our very own to do list and we ready to go live with the website, pick up our banners and business cardsfrom the printers - after many months of planning it is all starting to come together!!
